Tribute to our Beautiful Glenys almost 16

Glenys on her 14th Birthday

Here our dearest Glenys 13 years 1/2 at the

National 2014 in the Veteran class.

Glenys is a very fit corgi but has a mind of her own. We are trying to get the last of three Excellent Jumpers legs for that title as it will make her earn the Versatility Corgi title. We only enter  Agility trials once or twice a year so not a big chance of getting the leg. She is a wonderful mom and free whelps and gives us lovely offspring and enjoys every minute of it so we will repeat the last breeding to Grant this Spring. We will now try to get her to earn the title ROM as she has three offspring at this time and we hope to get a few more over the next year or two.

At this time, February of 2008, Glenys is 6 1/2.

Glenys had a great career as a show girl. We were holding her back from the breed ring till she matured until we had a dog show 4 miles from our house so decided to enter her. Ferebe Simons stayed that weekend and showed Glenys all three days and Glenys took the major each day. Glenys took a Best Puppy in Herding Group and Best in Sweeps at the Trenton show, under breeder judge Brenda Styles, and we were really excited for her to win a coveted Puppy Plate when she went Best Puppy at the Potomac's Specialty under judge Gloria Woodard.

At the Garden State Specialty Glenys won big classes under judges Sally Wynn and Mary Magness. After Glenys finished her Championships in Canada and the States Glenys did obedience ,herding and agility and at this time Glenys needs one Excellent Jumpers leg to finish her title. If she could get that one leg Glenys would then be our third Versatility Corgi. We were very lucky in New Jersey to have a good friend, Katherine Spence, who loved to do herding so took our corgis and titled them. Glenys loved herding and got her HT and PT with Katherine's guidance. Glenys thinks her job now is to keep the chipmunks off the property and likes to guard the holes where they might come out. Glenys told the animal communicator at the New Years weekend Agility trial she would like to have another litter of puppies so we are looking for a nice stud dog for her for 2008.As she free whelps her litters and makes it all text book easy I am happy to let her be a m0m again.

Glenys has free whelped litters by the following lovely boys.
